Fall Is Coming!

School is now back in full swing. Ryan is loving playing soccer and is doing well in school. Brandon has decided that he doesn't really like school afterall. It seems that the older the children get, the busier we get. The mornings and evenings are beginning to get cooler which tells me Fall is in the air. By the way, Christmas is only 4 months away.

Crazy Time of Year

Hey Folks. Things are crazy around the Smith house. I am working like a madman and school is getting ready to start. Brandon goes all day this year and Ryan will be eligible to play on the high school sports teams. Soccer practice has started and as soon as Ryan is back from camp. He has to start that.

Life moves quickly

Things are great with us but really busy. It gets kinda crazy sometimes. We seem to set a goal to get past the next major event, like getting past the end of school, or baseball season, only to have some other major event pop up on the horizon. I guess all the activity is what keeps us moving. Life is good. Hope all are doing well. Until Next time.....

Is the Year Really almost over?

It appears that alot of things are changing. A lot of people I know are getting married, A couple of other friends are either expecting or have just had babies. And I am changing jobs at the end of November. Thanksgiving is already here and Christmas is just around the corner. I hope all is well with everyone and Wish you all Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year (just in case I don't get back until after that). ;)

Is Summer Almost Gone Already

It seems like just a few weeks ago we were just getting used to the hot weather, and now Labor day has come and gone and school is back in session. But the cool thing about fall is COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!! If Tech can learn to play offense then thye may do well this year. I am also looking forward to the cool weather. I hope everyone is having a good year.

New Years Eve

Man did this year go by fast. I have a theory that seems to go along with the idea that time seems to go faster the older that you get. The theory goes like this

When you are 1 year old you have to double your life span to get to 2. So in relative terms of experience a year is a really long time. However, when you are 30 then one year is only 1/30th of your lifetime experience. So as you get older the percentage of your life that 1 year represents gets smaller and smaller. So in relative terms time is getting faster the longer you live.

So use all your time to the fullest. I wish the best for everyone as the new year rolls in. May God bless everyone and protect us all.

Twas the NIght Before The Night Before Christmas

Man I guess on the night before Christmas Eve everyone is trying to get in that last little bit of shopping. Anywhere aroung a mall seems to be experiencing horrendous traffic. So far even with the heavy traffic most people have been relatively polite. I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Christmas.

Christmas Approaches

Hey it is almost Christmas. Last night at church was just as I expected t would be. The SunBeam choir did great and everyone had a great time exchanging gifts. My kids were given way too many gifts from people (It is gonna take a month or two to straighten them out.) We appreciate all the generosity that was shown to our family. Merry Christmas to all.

Christmas Tree

Tonight is what we call the "Christmas Tree" at our church. Our "Sunbeam" choir (3-6 yr olds) will perform their Christmas program. After they finish everyone brings gifts for anyone that they have either drawn a name for or anyone that they just want to give something. It is almost overwhelming at the generosity. There will be loads of gifts not all of them expensive stuff but people make baked goods and give homemade items and neat stuff like that. It is really neat to see people getting such a blessing out of giving to others. We are truly blessed to be able to live in a land like the United States.

Firing GODaddy

After jumping through hoops to get my website working on GoDaddy's hosting servers. I decided I was through with them and moved the site to DotNetPark. Everything seems to be working fine now. All my XSL Transformations work as well as the new ASP.NET 2.0 functions. So if you want to have an ASP.NET 2.0 provider with good support and without all the hastle go to DotNetPark!!

Christmas Happenings

Man is this a busy time of year, with all the shopping and crazy things going on. We have had 2 different sets of friends weddings in Decemeber. We wish both couples well in there new lives together. Along with the weddings we have had the normal Christmas activities. Needless to say we have been very busy. Along with that we are still dealing with Brandon and his cast. (He is doing really well and he gets to have the cast taken off on 1/6). But with all this going on I dont want to loose site of why we celebrate Christmas. All that other stuff ,(except for the weddings), is just noise. The real meaning of Christmas is about the birth of Christ and what that means to a desparate world. So tell everyone you see MERRY CHRISTMAS and as you do remember what Christmas really means.
